Freya’s
Bower’s new One Touch, One Glance: A Sweet Anthology has been
reviewed by Cocktail Reviews. Here’s what Cocktail had to say
about Kensana Darnell’s Whispers in the Wind.
Ali is excited that her
new horse is arriving. While out in the stables, Ali meets
Mitch, a guy who is helping out for a while. They strike up a
friendship, but Ali soon has to attend university, and Mitch
seems reluctant to take their friendship further. What has
happened to him in the past to make him act the way he does? And
can Ali show him that she isn’t like other girls?

This week's 5 Heart Sweetheart...
"This is only a small sampling of the tales in the
book. Each one features different people, varying times and
circumstances with the simple theme that true love can happen
anywhere, anytime. There are stories that will remind you of your
first date, first love, first kiss. It may remind you why you
married the man who sits across from you at breakfast just in case
your memory has worn thin over the years of marriage. The writers
remind up of things we may have forgotten. They give us hope for new
beginnings. But, most of all they give us some excellent romance in
a book that you will hate to put down. " - Dee Dailey
The emotions in Whispers
in the Wind are well explored, and by the time the tale ended, I
felt I knew Ali and Mitch as though they were my friends.

The entire anthology receives a full bottle of champagne. If
you aren’t familiar with Cocktail Reviews, they have a drink
theme for their reviewers and they rate according to flutes of
champagne such as 1 for the worst and 5 for wonderful and a
whole bottle of Champagne (two bottles and sometimes an
extra glass or two) for those that are considered stellar or
better.

One
Touch, One Glance is a collection of sweet romances that is
sure to lift your spirits this holiday. The official release
date is December 8th, 2008, but I got a sneak peek at this
and just had to share. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and there
was enough different styles to please everyone. I am not
going to grade every story individually but I will tell you
a little about all of them and give the entire book an
average grade.
This
anthology really touched my heart, which is why I am giving
it a four star rating. It was an above average read,
focusing on the emotion and romance not the physical side of
love. So it was very satisfying to read.. Not only do I
recommend you buy this for yourself, but also for your loved
ones. It’s a romance book that won’t make you blush when you
hand it to your mother-in-law. The book is sure to leave you
feeling all warm and fuzzy inside after you are through
reading.
Whispers in the Wind by Kensana Darnell
I always love a good cowboy story. Mitch has a painful past
he wants to forget. Allison still has a little growing up to
do. Love takes patience, trust, and time to build, but it
doesn’t hurt to be on a ranch, under the stars, or taking a
horse ride out into the country together.

Rating: 5 Cups
This compilation is an
outstanding mixture of all the various ways love will find a
way. I was enthralled from the very beginning and read all of
the stories in one sitting. All of the authors should be proud
of the magical stories they wrote. The wonderful combination of
the various stories makes them a complete dossier on the subject
of love.
Kensana Darnell pens a fascinating tale about
how money has nothing to do with whom someone falls in love
with. I adored Mitch for not only sacrificing to help a friend
but for not being bitter when the friend betrays him. It is a
delightful story for the exuberant spirits of both Allison and
Mitch.
