Victoria Christopher Murray originally self published
Temptation. “I wanted to write a book as entertaining as any book on the market, put God in the middle, and have the book still be a page-turner. I wasn’t writing to any particular genre – I didn’t even know Christian fiction existed. I just wanted to write about people I knew and characters I could relate to.”
Since Temptation, Victoria has written seven other novels and was a contributor to the first Christian fiction anthology, Blessed Assurance. She was also the Contributing Editor for the Aspire Women of Color Bible published by Zondervan in 2007. All of her novels have continued to be Essence bestsellers.
In 2008, Victoria’s first novels in her Christian fiction teen series - The Divine Divas – were published. “I was concerned with what our young ladies were reading. I decided to do something about that – give them stories full of drama, but with a message.” The Divine Divas has already been optioned to become a television series.
Victoria splits her time between Los Angeles and Washington D.C. In Los Angeles, she attends Bible Enrichment Fellowship International Church under the spiritual tutelage of Dr. Beverly “BAM” Crawford and in Washington, D.C., she fellowships at Metropolitan Baptist Church under Dr. H. Beecher Hicks, Jr. She is also a member of the Long Beach Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority.

About the Book
Have the sins of the mother come upon the daughter?
Jasmine Larson Bush is finally living a drama-free life. She’s left her lying, cheating, stealing stripper days behind and is standing by her husband’s side as the first lady of one of the largest churches in New York City. The Bushes have been blessed with the best of everything—including two lovely children.
But just when Jasmine has committed her life completely to God, her daughter Jacqueline is kidnapped from a mall the day after Thanksgiving. The police and the church community join in the frantic search to find the four-year-old. As the days pass without any sign of her daughter, Jasmine begins to crack under the strain and turns to Brian Lewis, Jacqueline’s biological father, for solace.
Has Jasmine’s past finally caught up to her? Will her daughter be found or will Jasmine pay the ultimate price?
Book Review
When Jasmine’s daughter is kidnapped the police and the members of her husband’s church begin a frenetic search her, but to no avail the child cannot be found.
Feeling she has nowhere or no one else to turn too, Jasmine’s becomes victim to the stress and turns to Brian Lewis, Jacqueline’s biological father when he arrives to assist in the search.
With her daughter missing and her old love back in town, Jasmine’s feelings for Brian begin to resurface. What’s a woman to do when the days of her past look as if they’re closing in on her?
Sins of the Mother makes you realize, what is done in the past is not always forgotten. In this story, Jasmine struggles to survive and event in her life to which she has no control. Ms. Murray pens a tale that is packed with so much realism that will leave you emotionally drained. As a first time reader of Ms. Murray books, I can surely say it will not be my last. Sins of the Mother, will not leave you disappointed. A great read to kick off the summer.

May we never forget the soldiers of the past, who's shoulders this great country stands upon. Alway remember the soldiers of the present who guard our borders, keeping us safe for enemies both foreign and domestic. Think about the soldier of the future, for they will usher this country into the next era of our right to belive and be forever free.
To those who serve before me, beside me and to come, thank you for all you do and continue to do, without question.
It's not an easy task to find just the right gift you for that special lady. Have you started the coffee? How about breakfast? Cant' cook? No worries, moms will never judge you on your culinary capabilites on this day. She'll choked back the tears as she swallows and smiles. Burned or still raw, it's all delicious. Because even on her day, she wouldn't do or say anything to break her little angel's heart.
So get up this morning and tell the woman who gave you life, wiped your nose and kissed all the boo-boos--no matter where they were, 'Mom I luv ya!' Give a a big wet kiss and hand her a tissue to wipe away the tears she's been holding back since the first sip of coffee sweetened with maple syrup...well you were out of sugar. It's got sugar in it. Right?
Love ya Mom!
Happy Mother's Day to mine and all of your's.

Now that I have a brand new addition to my family, I find that I tend to run low on spare or any time for myself. I'm preparing to return to work and split my time once more like the splitting of

tiny atoms. My HD DVR has become my best friend these days, as watching a show when it is programmed into the family primetime schedule. Primetime for me has transpired into diaper, feeding, burping, and bathing time.

That being said, I was speaking with a good friend last evening, and by speaking I mean typing IM messages with one hand while my daughter uses my body for a jungle gym. My friend shared with me that Dancing with the Stars was a favorite show of hers. Not an easy feat for her, for this show is her guilty pleasure. I had to smile at her uneasiness to tell me her dirty little secret, but I have many of my own. With the little one here now, I find a lot of the oldies from my girl's childhood and mine, slipping back into my life. My girls influence a lot of my interest these days.

So these are my confessions...The Vampire Diaries. Come on, who can resist not one, but two hot vampire brothers. Twilight...Wolfpack, need I say more? Elmo's World, that's one cute monster. Miley Cyrus not Hannah Montana, hey I went from watching her dad in those tight jeans, to admiring her for the beautiful music she has grown into creating. Lady Gaga--you have to admire a woman who has the same sense of style and class as Elton John. Let me not forget-- texting. I take pride in being able to keep up with my teen daughters in the world of texting. These are only a few of course...I can't tell you everything.

So there it is my first blog as I return back to the writing and working world. I've shared with you, now come on and share your guilty little secrets with me.

When I first began writing romance, I discovered a little group by the name of Avoiding Writer's Hell. I met my first editor/author Faith Bicknell-Brown through this site. She later became editor for my first published story, Whispers in the Wind, published in Freya's Bower
One Touch, One Glance Anthology. Along the way I joined AWH in hopes of learning more about the craft of writing. It's been a year since then, and I'm still learning.

Hmm...where to begin.
First, I guess I could admit to being a little off the radar for the later part of 2009. I've really missed the writing world but I've been a little busy. After returning from the Lori Foster event last year and having the time of my life, I became ill. A few weeks later, and finally not being able to take it any longer, I decided to venture out and see my doctor. When she came into the room I was ready for the worst, menopause, cancer, or some rare illness I've never heard of before that would incampacitate or kill me. She only smiled and reassured me that it was none of the above, but she advised me that my husband and I were on the road to a bigger, more unexpected ride to come. With a gentle smile she then informed me that we were expecting a little one. Imagine our surprise, especially since my
"baby" is now fifteen. So it's been a while since I needed or thought to recognize the symptoms of pregnancy.

Needless to say, it's been a rough ride on a little journey and I've had to take a little time off from writing. Which is why I've been a little out of touch. As of today, our little is thirty-two weeks along and we can't wait for her arrival.
This new year will bring to us a little bundle of joy. That's my big news, so what will the new year bring to you?
May 2010 bring you love, peace, and happiness!
