Hmm...where to begin. First, I guess I could admit to being a little off the radar for the later part of 2009. I've really missed the writing world but I've been a little busy. After returning from the Lori Foster event last year and having the time of my life, I became ill. A few weeks later, and finally not being able to take it any longer, I decided to venture out and see my doctor.  When she came into the room I was ready for the worst, menopause, cancer, or some rare illness I've never heard of before that would incampacitate or kill me.  She only smiled and reassured me that it was none of the above, but she advised me that my husband and I were on the road to a bigger, more unexpected ride to come. With a gentle smile she then informed me that we were expecting a little one. Imagine our surprise, especially since my "baby" is now fifteen. So it's been a while since I needed or thought to recognize the symptoms of pregnancy.

Needless to say, it's been a rough ride on a little journey and I've had to take a little time off from writing. Which is why I've been a little out of touch. As of today, our little is thirty-two weeks along and we can't wait for her arrival. This new year will bring to us a little bundle of joy. That's my big news, so what will the new year bring to you?

May 2010 bring you love, peace, and happiness!

Wow. Okay, as I was reading that, I was thinking it was going to be something awful too. But a baby! How wonderful. A surprise I’m sure, but as my friend says, it’s always better to bring a chair to the table than to take one away. :-)
    Congrats!

Thank you Lori. It was and still is a surprise to us. It’s hard to believe the big day is almost upon us. I’ll have to sit out the get together this year, but I’ll surely be there in 2011.
